Is it possible to do a web search filtered for the user's comprehension level? [migrated]

Do any of the major search engines support a filter to indicate the comprehension level of the user and thus to filter out content beyond their scope? So for example, if someone wanted to find results on "astronomy", but to only show content appropriate for someone in junior-high or lower.

Alternatively, if there isn't such an existing method directly, any ideas on how this might be accomplished with existing tools?

I found this paper, which seems to indicate folks have looked at this, just don't know if there is a real world tool to do this.
